About Dr. Wisdom Okotie

I am the eighth of seventeen children from my Father but the first surviving child of my mother’s four living children.

I joined the Celestial Church in 1976 due to demonic attacks and oppression. I was taken to the church by my stepmother. It was in Celestial Church of Christ that I received the gift of Holy Spirit and was born again and filled with his presence.

The year 1976 was a year with mixed emotions. That was the year I was appointed as the students- President of my high school, it was the same year I took ill and almost died. I was in the hospital for five months, bedridden, and was on hospital drip throughout that period.

By divine design that was the same year that the Pastor Founder Papa SBJ Oshoffa moved to Nigeria.  What the hospital could not do, God used the prayers of believers and an elderly man from my village to effect the cure. The devil planned to cripple me just as God was about to establish my roots in the Celestial Church of Christ.

The years 1977 through the mid-eighties were my spiritual formative years in the Celestial Church of Christ. During that period, I worshiped and served in several Celestial Church of Christ churches. I traveled extensively, visiting most CCC branches to preach and pray for the sick as led by the Holy Spirit. To name a few: CCC Crudas road Sapele, Upper Igun Parish, Benin City, Adelabu Parish Surulere Lagos etc.

In the year 1984, after I had a setback in my job as a journalist with the Nigerian Observer, Papa SBJ Oshoffa appeared to me in a dream and asked me to start a church and become a full-time minister. As a result of that directive by December 12, 1984, my wife and I invited our friends and started CCC Uniben Parish together from the scratch.

Less than five months after we began this Church from scratch in the Ugbowo Campus of the University of Benin, the Holy Spirit instructed me to visit with Papa SBJ Oshoffa in Ketu at the International Headquarters of CCC to share my dreams and prophecies with SBJO about succession in the month of March (28th) 1985. Papa commented in Yoruba language that day as I shared my revelations with him, that I was telling the truth. The next day Friday, March 29th, 1985 Papa SBJ Oshoffa laid hands on me as Moses laid hands on Joshua and asked me to request what I wanted God to give to me, as Elijah asked Elisha, and also asked me to hold his robe while I made the request.

Less than six months after this encounter, Papa SBJ was called home to be with the Lord.  Within a year after this great interaction, the Lord opened the door for me to go for ministerial study in the United States.

When I arrived in the United States, all I had was my Diploma in Journalism from Nigeria Institute of Journalism, Lagos. But today by the grace of God I have earned my Bachelor’s in Theology from Oral Roberts University, my Masters in Social Work from the University of Oklahoma in Norman and my PhD. in Pastoral Ministry from Trinity School of the Bible in Newberg, Indiana. By God’s Grace, I graduated Summa Cum Laude from Oral Roberts University and was recognized as the Most Outstanding Student of my graduating class. I was also recognized in Who is Who Among Students of American Universities and Colleges.

In March of 1997  I had a dream where the seven elders that work with CCC including Papa SBJ Oshoffa appeared to empower me in the dream. Papa made it clear that they came to give me the same power that Christ had given to him. I was made to kneel down in this dream while Pastor Founder laid both hands on my head and prayed in accordance with the mission. It was after this encounter that Christ the King Miracle Church was started as led and directed by the Holy Spirit.

I was minding my business advancing the work of our local Church when the Lord created some very precise situations that now made it clear that I was needed at CCC on a rescue mission. The year the Celestial Church of Christ turned 70 years was the year that God started dealing with me about going to take over the leadership as pre planned by the hand of the Almighty God.

The rest, as they say, is history. It was that same year the revelation about the Church in the wilderness was given by a top Celestial church Prophet, while also declaring that a new Pastor will emerge for the Celestial Church of Christ.

I am presently married to Theresa Okotie, a registered Nurse and a full time minister in the vineyard. We are blessed with two daughters Ann and Rachel with five grand children. Both of them are married and have excelled in their different fields of studies and specialization.  To God Alone be all the Glory.
